Positions on Staff


When being part of the staff it's important to know your place and what you can and cannot do. This thread will help explain the extent of the position you are given and some of what you should be doing when ever you check this site. Now remember this is an rpg that requires paragraphs for posts, this rule cannot be broken by any of the staff member, if I (we), do find that you have broken this rule we will either inform you to fix it, or, if this has happened multiple times and is becoming a problem, will inform you of a possible demotion.
The positions in which one can get on the staff are as follows: Owner, Administrator, and Moderator. All the mods and admins may have the same title but I can also assign specific designation for certain mods and admins.

Positions and Descriptions


Owner:
  • Owner: The owner, that's me, is the one who over sees the whole site. If anything is going wrong I have the last say and am the one that must fix it. Eventually I may give up the owner position but as of now the position is one that cannot be applied for.

  • Co-Owner/Top Admin: The co-owner will also have the owner title (might be admin depending on restrictions with forumotion service). The co-owner acts as a second owner looking over the whole site, and when the owner is not around has absolute authority. This position is very difficult to get because in order to be eligible you must have a close relationship with the owner and have already proved yourself as a good moderator.
Admin:
  • Admin: Most admin have this position. This is your basic admin your duties include updating journeys, updating people's training, and updating the B.E. of people who have just finished battles. Admins also have a lot of pressure, they must try to be active and actively helping the site or they will lose their position. Admins also approve profiles

  • Code-Admin: This admin oversees the over all look of the site. If there was soemthing wrong with it they would fix it. They are also in charge of creating banners, buttons, and advertising if the site ever needs it. This admin still has all the functions as the other admin.
Mod:
  • Mod: The mods are members who have proven themselves well enough to help with the functions of the site. These staff members must update battles, journeys, and training. The mods are similar to admins except they do not have acces to the admin cp (which is what allows the admins to update the B.E. of the members)





Other

All staff members must be very familiar with the rules. If a staff member is seen breaking a rule out of plain disregard more than once or twice they will be demoted or fired from their position. All staff members must also try to set a good example in their posts and in their actions, this means their profiles and characters must be well developed and that they must role play in areas where required and do the best job they can at it.

Understanding Roleplay and Staff Action: As many of you have probably already seen I have posted in all the villages and areas, but this does NOT mean that my character has been to those places. In those posts I was using staff action. Staff action is and OOC type of post that has nothing to do with your character, Staff Action should be able to be noticed as different from role playing as you will be OOC. Staff action DOES NOT affect your character so this means even if you have done staff action in an area your character has no knowledge of it.




Special Privileges

Admins:
  • Self Training - Admins can self train. This means they may moderate their own topics in training to learn jutsu and other abilities. This is a very special privilege that must be done carefully. When training yourself you must act as if it was someone elses post and post accordingly. If ANOTHER admin finds fault with one training themselves, the points may be taken away and the move crossed off the admins jutsu list. This is a very big privilege and I am trying this to see how well it works
  • Final say - In arguments over works created and writting done in topics, this grouo has the ability to decide if it was adequate enough or not. This means if a member wrote a wimpy post in a training topic, the admin/mod does not have to give any points. This privilege also extends to arguments about update on the forum. The hiearchy of the final say goes: Owner > Admin > Mod.
  • Self Mission Moderation - Admins/Mods can moderate their own missions. This means they may moderate their own topics in missions. This is a very special privilege that must be done carefully. When moderating yourself you must act as if it was someone elses post and post accordingly. If ANOTHER admin finds fault with one moderating themselves, the may may be canceled and the money taken out of the user's account. This is a very big privilege and I am trying this to see how well it works.
